Portrait Swap and a New Page in New and Gently Used Sketchbook

I did the portrait swap in Wetcanvas Portraiture forum. Here is the portrait I did of Melissa. About 9x12 inches on watercolor paper with watercolor and colored pencil.

And this is the one I did from a little bust of an eagle that I bought at Dollartree in colored pencil.

Dave Finished

I just finished Dave's portrait. Several times I thought I had lost it and would have to start over. I am happy with the finish now. I didn't plan to add the blue in his hair but I am glad I did. Watercolors on Arches Watercolor paper. A little pen and ink and white Conte pencil. 11 x 14 inch size. This will be getting mailed to the UK.

Hoppy & Morgan

This is my latest "people" painting. This is a friend's Uncle Hoppy and his wonderful boxer Morgan. I see them once a year at a barbecue. They go everywhere together and are devoted to each other. Both are wonderful.

Watercolor from two different photos I took at the barbecue about 2 years apart. This is in my "People" sketchbook but I will probably tear it out and mat and frame for Hoppy.
