25 something

My first card for the 25 something trade has arrived at its new home in Canada. I am doing childhood memories. The first one was hula hoops.

I received my first hula hoop when I was in about 4th grade. We were in Oklahoma visiting my grandfather for the last time and he had grandma give us each $5. When we got home, we bought hula hoops with our money. They were so much fun and we soon had mastered the technique.

I have tried it since I have gotten older and thicker. Doesn't work any more. Too much hip and not enough action. And I felt like a dunce... awkward and not a pretty sight.

What fun! We went to an outdoor festival this morning and there was a vendor there selling hula hoops! There were all ages, all sizes, and all manner of coordination of folks hula-hooping (or trying)! Much laughter and fun.

Love the bright colors of your card!

Happy Birthday to Bill. Downhill s easier isn't it? :)

Tell me about the Moleskine project. Are you drawing a few pictures in it then sending it to someone else to work on?
